Join BARC and A Greener Future for an evening litter-clean-up at Bayfront Park! Let’s work together to pick up cigarette butts, coffee cups, and wrappers before they end up in Hamilton Harbour.

We'll not only collect as much litter as we can, but will also perform a waste characterization where we count up the type of litter we find. By characterizing the types of waste we find, we can better understand the sources of litter and develop targeted strategies to reduce it. This hands-on experience will not only help keep our area clean but also contribute valuable data to ongoing environmental research.

We will meet at the Bayfront Park Kiosk (located under the pergola to the south of the boat launch). BARC will provide gloves, garbage bags, garbage grabbers, and some light refreshments for participants. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a filled reusable water bottle.
