A Greener Futures Love Your Lakes Monthly Progress Report: July 2024

  • 941 A Greener Future Volunteers have collected a total of 223,253 since the beginning of May 2024!

ONTARIO — The Love Your Lakes program has made waves this summer, thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers and partners! Together, we've taken significant strides toward cleaning up our precious lakes and protecting the environment.

July Highlights

  • 99% of targeted locations have been cleaned up, surpassing our goal for the month!

  • An impressive 223,253 pieces of litter have been removed from our lakeshores, bringing our total to an incredible 64% of our estimated litter.

  • 941 dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves to make a difference, contributing to a total of 57% of our volunteer goal.

  • 18 corporate cleanups were successfully organized, demonstrating a strong corporate commitment to environmental stewardship.

  • An outstanding 96% of planned cleanups have been completed, showcasing the program's efficiency and impact!

These achievements are a testament to the power of community and collaboration. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our volunteers, corporate partners, and the entire community. Here are some other highlights from initiatives we have had throughout July!
