Spring 2021 Butt Blitz Results

Summary

Having had to cancel our 2020 Butt Blitz due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we knew that we wanted to make a BIG impact in 2021.

With 160 volunteers from 25 locations across Canada, we were able to remove 825,796 cigarette butts from the environment. All of those butts have been packed up and shipped off to our friends at Terracycle to be recycled.

As a result, our Butt Blitz program helped divert nearly 295 pounds of plastic waste from the environment and protected 660,636 litres of water from contamination.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make this happen!
